Correct steps for starting the diesel generator set

The start-up steps of the diesel generator set are not as simple and easy as expected. Many new users have some misunderstandings about the start-up of the diesel generator set. If it is not used properly, it will have a negative impact on the diesel generator set. Then we can correctly start the diesel generator set according to the following steps.
1. Loosen the bleed screw on the fuel injection pump, exhaust the air in the fuel system with the fuel hand pump, and fix the adjusting control handle at the throttle position at the appropriate starting speed.
2. Press the start button to start the diesel engine. If the diesel engine cannot be started on fire for 10 seconds (15 seconds at most), it should be started again after 1 minute. If it cannot be started for three consecutive times, check and find out the cause of the fault.
3. After the diesel engine is started, pay close attention to the reading of the oil pressure gauge (2.5-3.5kg/C ㎡ under normal operation). If the oil pressure gauge does not indicate, stop the engine immediately for inspection and check whether the ammeter has charging indication.
4. After the unit is started, the no-load speed gradually increases to 1000-1200 r/min (note that it is not allowed to run at low speed for a long time). After the preheating process of the diesel engine, the speed is increased to the rated speed. When the water outlet temperature reaches 55 ℃ and the oil temperature reaches 45 ℃, full load operation is allowed.
5. When the indicators of all instruments of the unit are normal, the load switch can be closed to transmit power to the load. With the change of unit load, if the frequency and voltage are not within the specified range, the frequency and voltage should be adjusted in time to maintain the rated value. The unit is prohibited from carrying load at low speed to avoid damage to the equipment.
6. After the unit is put into normal operation, the changes of water temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure and the readings of power meter, frequency meter, ammeter and voltmeter shall be observed at any time, and any abnormality found shall be handled in a timely manner.
